My name is Hannah Tannenbaum, and I am a graduate student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD, is conducting a research study to find out more about diver engagement with climate change.
If you agree to be in this study, you will be asked to complete an online survey. This survey will ask about your familiarity with climate change and teaching and it will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Research records will be kept confidential. No personal identifiers will be collected, and the Qualtrics platform will further anonymize results. The investigator, may learn more about how to facilitate dive professionals to become more involved in educating divers about climate change.
Participation in research is entirely voluntary.

Dive shop and resort with a restaurant located in a small remote town called Cabo Pulmo in baja ca sur mexico is looking for an instructor/snorkel guide. Must speak english and spanish any other language is a plus. Also must be a Mexican citizen or already have current work visa status in Mexico. Looking for a good fit with someone dedicated and enthusiastic about diving. Customer service is a must as all guides help with the dive shop from selling to bookings, etc. We also launch from the beach so trailers get pushed into the water to pull the boats out. So heavy lifting is required.

We are located inside a national marine park all Dm/instructor/guides go through a course as well as training to learn sites. Even customers have rules to follow. The sea of cortez is always changing conditions so experience in cold water, currents, low visibility etc is very helpful. Water temp ranges from 29-30c to 17-19. Visibility from 20m+ to 5m or less sometimes. But we have a lot of marine life.

Muscat Hills Dive Centre (near Muscat, Oman) is looking for an experienced Divemaster

Muscat Hills Dive Centre (near Muscat, Oman) is looking for an experienced Divemaster (PADI DM or OWSI), minimum of 300 logged dives and 1-2 years of working experience), from February/March on. The position is open for females as well as for males. Minimum contract period is one year. This is no intership!
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU APPLY FOR THE POSITION!
Languages: English is mandatory, German and/or French are a plus. Arabic is a plus too.
There is a good reason why we are asking for a PADI DM or OWSI with not less than 300 dives and 1-2 years of working experience.
What we need is an experienced diver to guide our certified customers and with experience in the usual daily business of a normal dive center in a holiday destination and the will of doing that kind of job. That means, even if you are an OWSI, your main duty is guiding certified divers. But, if you are on OWSI and if there is no guiding but our instructors are busy, you may do DSDs or other PADI courses too.
Furthermore, if you are an OWSI and we need to increase the number of our instructors there is the chance that we upgrade you to instructor and hire a new divemaster.
What we don´t want is a zero to hero divemaster/instructor, with a divemaster/instructor ticket, but who probably never before in his life has been working with a real customer because he always was just taking courses himself and in his courses he has been working with peers as role models only.
Last but not least we have been asking for one divemaster/instructor and not for couples. Because of company policy, we don´t hire couples.

Do you love diving, but like the idea of 'dry' work just as much? If so, we may have the perfect job for you! We are currently looking for someone to job share an office based/Diving Instructor role. Part of the job is working as an Administrator at the counter of our Dive Centre in El Gouna. You should have excellent customer service, interpersonal and computer skills, together with an ability to sell diving, courses and retail products. In addition, you should be an enthusiastic Diving Instructor, preferably MSDT certified with Nitrox, passionate about both teaching and guiding and can give our guests the best holiday. We expect that the job split will be around 50/50, but this will depend upon requirements on a day to day basis.

If you are not a Diving Instructor but still interested in the Administrator post, we would still like to hear from any candidates who are already certified divers.

You must be able to speak fluent English and German; French would also be advantageous. Preference will be given to those candidates already living in the Hurghada/El Gouna area, Egypt.

To complete our successful team, we are looking for reliable and responsible additional staff member to start soonest; ideal age between 25 years and 45 years.

Essential qualifications for all applicants are:

Absolutely fluent in German and English, other languages welcome
Willing to live and work in Khao Lak from now to May 2013
