Experienced Instructor (M/F) with liveaboard experience
@ the Similan Islands
Our Dive Center in Khao Lak operates with two day trip boats and one liveaboard. In addition to our main office and
the attached Palm Garden Resort we operate with own sales offices in
leading 4 * & 5* hotels. With our boat Stingray we definitely have
the fastest and most comfortable day trip boat going to the Similan
Islands, which rank among the top ten dive sites worldwide.
To complete our successful team, we are looking for reliable and responsible additional staff member to start soonest; ideal age between 25 years and 45 years.
Essential qualifications for all applicants are:
Absolutely fluent in German and English, other languages welcome
Willing to live and work in Khao Lak from now to May 2013
Flexible, used to work under pressure, service oriented
Having outstanding communication and sales skills
Have a clean & tidy outfit, no visible piercing, no excessive tattoos
Willing to fit in a highly professional and harmonic team
Willing to use your own transportation to go to work ( moped )
Be mature in mind
Can do attitude
To non – smokers is given preference.
But this position requires something more:
Min. PADI MSDT or higher, must have Nitrox specialty, teaching status & insured
Willing to do a crossover to SSI at Dive Center’s cost price is a MUST,
if not SSI Instructor, yet
Minimum 5 years experience in the diving industry, at least one of them on a liveaboard at the Similans
Strong leadership skills & highly socially skilled
Excellent motivator, organizer and mediator
Business and profit-oriented attitude
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Excellent diving skills and safe diving practices, plus role model diving and life skills
Excellent communication skills and customer oriented attitude on the boat & under water
Willing to guide already certified divers and to teach according to standards Highest safety awareness and respecting training organizations’ standards
Must have full own equipment, incl. pro torch ( not a back up light only )
We offer a seasonal engagement until the end of April / Mid of May 2013 in our premium Dive Center; however, this may become a year around employment, flexibility from your site provided. You are expected to stay for the whole season. Work is usually six days a week, though it may happen in peak season that the “day off” is shifted to a calmer period. Monthly salary paid on time. We are sorry not to provide accommodation and not paying travel allowances; food and drinks in our Palm Garden Restaurant are available for discounted prices.
