Looking for 2 Padi IDC Staff Instructors/EFR seeking employment in Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands (Caribbean).


We use Carolina Skiffs and enjoy diving with small groups. Job includes tours for divers, snorkelers..etc., teach Padi and Discover Scuba Resort courses, lift and carry tanks, fill tanks, gear rental maintenance, assist in truck and boat maintenance, clean shop and yard....we do it all. You will also be boat captain so therefore must have boat handling skills.....must be very physically fit and no prior back problems.

DIVER TECHNICIAN
Dragone - City of Dreams

Description:
Reporting to the Head of Aquatics. The Diver Technician will participate to establish and perform underwater show cue tracks related to scenery movement, performer support and safety. Maintain pool related systems, as well as dive and aquatics related equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible / Accountable
Maintain safe and consistent operations for show rehearsals and performances;
Perform show cue tracks
Maintain and enforce safe diving practices
Work with novice divers and performers until they feel comfortable working in a water environment.
Support
Assist in inspecting, assembling and maintaining all aspects of equipment for training, rehearsals, performances, and special events; maintain all dive gear.
Participate in pre-set, performance, and post-set of show equipment.
Objectives:
Competencies
Ability to learn or update life saving skills and/or become CPR/first responder;
Ability to stay calm and calm others in emergency situations.;
Must possess problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with proven talents in safety and teamwork;
Must have excellent verbal communication skills;
Ability to work extended hours, nights and week-ends;
Ability to withstand long exposure to water;
Demonstrates effective problem solving skills;
Experience in mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and high pressure systems;
Ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent;
Professional level diving certification with a minimum of Divemaster level for recreational diving.
Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in professional SCUBA diving.
Other Skills
Other tasks as assigned ;
Must be fluent in the English language;
Knowledge of MS Windows and MS office systems;
Knowledge and certifications in Scuba diving equipment maintenance and repairs.

Dive & Waterfront Coordinator position

Duties: The Dive & Waterfront Coordinator will be responsible for maintenance and operation of a fully fitted dive center and fleet of boats. Primary duties include teaching PADI Open Water dive course to Island School (www.islandschool.org) and DCMS (www.dcmsbahamas.org) students, as well as courses for visiting groups. Also, servicing all dive gear and compressor.

Furthermore, the Dive & Waterfront Coordinator will be responsible for the servicing and maintenance of a fleet of six vessels ranging from 14ft skiff to a 42ft research/dive vessel. Must be a self-motivator and enjoy working hands on to build up an operational dive center. Qualifications & Experience: Seeking an individual with: PADI OWSI certification as a minimum Experience piloting boats up to 45’ Experience maintaining a variety of marine engines including two and four stroke outboards, small diesel inboards and large commercial diesel inboards.
